Who we are at Care Moor

We are a non-profit organization focused on providing goods and services to families and individuals in our underfunded communities in central Ohio. Our mission is to simply Care Moor by being present and productive in our local communities.  At Care Moor we strive to uplift our communities through programs that are set up to educate and support the families as well as individuals in central Ohio.  We Believe by simply caring moor we can help people from all walks of life create and reach  personal goals that will  assist in the attainment of a much more positive and productive  lifestyle.  As a non-profit organization we solely rely on donations to run our organization.  We have created an online presence to reach members of our central Ohio communities as well as local events and meetings to give away supplies and donations throughout the city all year long.  Our programs and directives are simple. As a non-profit organization we solely rely on donations to run our organization. 

We have created an online presence to reach members of our central Ohio communities as well as local events and meetings to give away supplies and donations throughout the city all year long. 

Our programs and directives are simple. We stay organized and productive by using a seasonal/quarterly schedule for all of our programs listed below.  We also utilize online tools and technology to better assist everyone seeking assistance.

Fall schedule: 

*The last Sunday in August is our back to school drive. We start excepting school supplies, backpacks and donations the last Sunday of July. 

We use flyers, word of mouth and social media to get the community ready and excited for a happy, safe and exciting school year. Everything that is received in donations is all distributed back in to the community. 

In November we have our Friends feeding friends food drive. 

*We will start excepting donations the last Sunday in October and  will distribute all items donated on the Sunday before Thanksgiving to make sure everyone has a food package for the Thanksgiving Holiday. 

Winter schedule:

 Help us prepare for our stay warm and  healthy, Health and Wellness Educational discussion online on our Face Book group page.   Expressing the importance of cleanliness and helpful tips for keeping a clean and decluttered living space as well as the importance of  staying warm during the cold months.  These healthy tips can  lower the chances of getting sick and help with prevention of other complications due to exposure to cold weather. 

*We will be excepting donations for our holiday food drive on the last Monday of November through the third Sunday of December. 

*The distribution of all donations will be distributed from that Sunday through the Tuesday before Christmas. 

Spring schedule:

*On the first Sunday in April we have our Be Calm and Think, what to do in case of an emergency educational online discussion  for the community.  This discussion takes place on our Face Book group page via Face Book live.  This is an online demonstration of basic critical thinking skills and what to do in case of an emergency. 

*On the second Sunday in May, We have a clothing drive for our summer work place readiness event.  The clothes will be used and given out to every one that may need items to dress up for work, job interviews or school.

*On the third Sunday of May we have our community clean up day. This is when we go out into our communities and pick up trash and help our elders with yard work ect. This helps members of the communities have pride and understand the importance of taking care of their community and each other.

Summer schedule:

*On the third Sunday of June we will have our explore careers/ workplace readiness demonstration where we talk about different career fields, learn how to fill out job applications and have mock interviews to help prepare our community members for success. This is also a wonderful opportunity to help our teens feel confident when pursuing their 1st jobs.  This event will take place at one of our local libraries. 

*We have our financial literacy online discussion on the second Sunday of July.  This discussion is an online event that will take place on our Care Moor Face Book group via Face Book live.  We will have a professional financial advisor helping us to better understand saving, investing, and long term financial planning.

*On the last Sunday in July we start collecting school supplies for our back to school drive on the last Sunday in August visit our facebook pages for location and times.

 *The second Sunday in August we will have our online code of ethics how to stick to the code to stay cyber protected while enjoying our time on social media.  This online discussion will take place in our Face Book group via Face Book live.

Together we can build  better and stronger communities in Central Ohio.  All we have to do is simply Care Moor!
